Where are the pictures of the pistol?! I’m a old Miami Vice Buff, too. Could you please send me a link? I haven’t the time or the patience to get mired up in “blogs”. Thank you.
I am VERY pleased to see someone pick up the Bren 10 and build it “right”. I missed out twice on my Brens/Falcons etc…and by only a short time frame. A gun shop owner and now class 3 Dealer with indoor range “The Bullet Stop”(419)989-3142 plus he has a website (had to get a plug in for him) got 2 Brens back in the early 80s one for himself and one for his brother ..with magazines.
! I was 1 month short of receiving mine…Then as a FFL Dealer I had 15 ordered thou Peregrine Industries. But that too faded into history. I spoke with the Late Col Jeff Cooper many times ( by phone, letter, and email) Discussing such things as the Bren, the Scout Rifle, and the THUMPER..the latter I plan on building to nearly Col. Jeff Coopers specs as we discussed and he wrote in SOF back in 82 reviewing an imported carbine. As for the new Bren one HUGE question. Since it will fire 45 acp and handle the higher pressures of the 10mm (Norma specs?) Would it be possible without being out of the question cost wise. Convert a Bren 10 the .460 Rowland? That would up the power to 44 magnum. Col Copper…Jeff said that an ideal round for his THUMPER would have been the 44 AMP. Well the .460 Rowland is pretty close in power and size. Plus it would be very nice to have a THUMPER and defensive sidearm chambered for the same rounds. Plus 460 Rowland firearms can also shoot 45acp, 45acp +P, 45 Super, etc.. I know this sounds like an ad for my project. But for a sidearm I will be buying at least one Bren if not a few of them as my primary defense and carry guns. Hanging up the 1911 for such. I look forward to future information.
Thanks Again for bring the Legend back…Its about time. I still feel that the Bren is the most comfortable handgun I ever picked up or shot. Its is still years beyond the others. And I have owned a Colt Govt 70 since I was 12, and a Kimber Classic since the mid 90s with various others in between. The Bren beats them all….Fingers crossed on the 460..plus I will speak with Clark Custom about the idea…They are planning to build many different 460 handguns and conversion units.
I will be contacting you ASAP as to everything “Bren” that I want to ask. I look forward to receiving my 1st Bren…its been a long time coming. But worth the 22 year wait!!!
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Warren Young
How about a monthly update and projected availability and Estimated priceing???????????
I owened a Bren 10 and loved it! It just would not hold up to use as to the small parts so I cherried it and sold it to a collector. I am REAL interested in a GOOD carry 45/10. I am in law enforcement and reliability/quality are what I demand. My Kimbers and Springfields are good but I want the best at reasonable priceing, not Custom shop ripoffs.

Since you are taking the original Bren Ten and up-grading it internally (engineering-wise), I wonder if you would look into a recently-developed finish (newer than when the original Bren was out) as in Melanite/Tennifer? Kolene’s QPQ would be the same thing. If you make this with the engineering upgrades, you might as well upgrade the finish too!
Please send me an e-mail regarding the price and availability of the BT
Please let us faithful know when you get ready to start making a list of buyers.
I would love to have one or two of the low serial numbered guns from the first run.
Can’t wait to see this gun in my hands.
